okok.. obs experience.. hees..
we got into mobile course.. yay!! our instructor-steven...first class QC for the stores.. ( wants everything to be clean and neat.. especially the pots.. the guys gotta wash them with sand.. )my group members.. -janani, faizah, rashyt, kian hao, jerome, syazwan, vincent, lionel, pamale, amirah, jun jie, ze xun, samantha, danny and walter.. zexun and his funny movements and chicken dance.. ahahas... vincent and his digestive biscuits.. ahahas.. lionel-my great partner for kayaking.. jerome-our instructor said that he walks like he’s going for modeling.. ahahas.. rashyt-great helper, keep calling me dirty cos i got rashes.. ahahas.. (the rashes was damn itchy!!).. kian hao- helpful guy.. great and nice people i can say!! the very first day we were like strangers but after 4 days.. we cant bear to leave each other.. i miss them badly now.. first day was kind of boring.. everything was like happening so slowly.. really felt like 5 days rather than 1..
first day!!
ice breakers, then we were assigned to different roles.. zexun is our day 1 ic, rashyt-day 2 ic, jerome-day 3 ic, walter/lioenel-day 4 ic, janani-day 5 ic, danny and kian hao-food ics, amirah was our medic and counterpain supplier.. ahahas.. mii and samm were the stall ics.. interesting role but tiring.. hees.. then we got to count check the quantity of the stuff of the store.. sun all the stuff inside the store.. as the previous week was raining continuously and the stuffs were wet and smelly.. especially the bag packs.. errr.. it really stink alot.. after that we went to pitch our tents.. learn a different way of pitching tent.. ( AO one easier!!).. we got to pitch our tent in some muddy area in the forest!! lots of creature!! mii and samm slept with pamela and amirah.. nice people to be with!! we did the trust games too.. the falling on mat game really scary but fun.. after that we learn belaying skills.. cool.. we got to belay our own group members up.. be the rope manager, climber, ankle person!! dinner was kind of sucky.. danny being a F&N students didn’t cook the rice properly.. we ate uncooked rice.. can u imagine?? ahahas.. dun blame him.. everyone was super hungry then.. hees. first day was really slow.. everybody came to us and said they regretted going.. ahahas..
second day!!
we woke up and had we morning pt.. in fact more of morning games.. ahahas.. after that we got to transfer all our stuff from our bags to the bag pack they gave.. the bag pack was stinky and dirty.. and SUPER heavy after we loaded our stuff in.. after packing our bags, we trekked from campsite 2 to campsite 1.. ard 1.6 km.. our bags were damn heavy.. shoulders were aching badly!! campsite 2 was a nice place.. the OBS building.. we saw chalet rooms with nice beds.. and really we got very envious.. put down our bags and we did the inverse tower or the obstacle tower... i reached the top!! got to see the nice nice view.. really felt great at that moment.. after that we had our lunch at the dinning area.. good food i can say.. finally we dun have to cook.. hees.. we had our lunch, dinner, supper and breakfast there... after lunch we did our kayaking basics.. i suck big time sia.. couldn’t not coordinate well with samm.. really felt very useless as we kept on drifting away from the group.. tiring and disappointed experience.. sorry samm!! we learn how to capsize and rescue!! cool ya?? after that we went to pitch our tents again.. some weird area again.. lucky thing we got to bath.. hees.. had our circles.. and we went to bed..
third day!!
our land expedition... with our heavy heavy bags once again.. we were given two maps and we are to trek ard pulau ubin to search for 4 checkpoints and the cookie monster to find campsite 3... jerome, lionel, rashyt and junjie went our land ex ics.. they were great man.. we were the first watch to reach campsite 3 and we found cookie monster too.. our instructor even said we were very patient.. cool ya?? hees.. during land ex, someone shouted for counterpain.. and everyone started wanting counterpain too.. after using it.. everybody’s shoulders were like tearing cos it’s burning hot.. and we started saying burn burn burn all the way.. hees.. and burn even became our group’s theme word.. we would use it whenever our watch magellan is called.. cool ya?? during the land ex, we passed AO campsite and we met a dog, danny claimed that it’s called ubin.. yupps.. the dog kind of leaded the way.. smart dog.. hees.. junjie and the rest keep shouting burn.. poor dog.. ahahas.. kana scolded.. we had fun, in fact, i think that was the day that the fun really started... we were the first watch to reach campsite 3 and we got the best area for our tents.. ahahas.. finally!! hees.. then we have our sea expedition briefing.. get to know that we are actually at a public campsite... with no proper toilet facilities.. so we didn’t get to bath that day.. we were like so sticky and dirty.. and we had our dinner.. we gotta cook in the dark.. can u imagine?? ahahas.. we were damn bad luck then.. went to wash our stuff and big red ants attacked our camp foods.. we got to clear up the place.. the guys were like burning the ants slowly.. and mi standing there shinning the torch.. and we got to wash our pots and mass tins by the sea.. ahahas.. it was fun.. hees.. we acted like cavemens.. ahahas.. we went to sleep ard 11 plus instead of 10 plus.. as we took alot of time to clear up the ants...
fourth day!!
woke up at 445.. to prepare for our sea expedition.. we got to kayak back to campsite2.. early rite?? was really very tired then.. we then set off at 7.. i put lots of sun-block and use a cap plus a skirt to cover my face.. i look so terrorist until tam and ger couldn’t recognize me and said i looked like a guy from behind.. ahahas.. i partner with lionel.. great partner i can say.. he helped me alot.. i think having a good partner is very important.. cos if u got one that doesn’t help ya.. u’re gonna get real exhausted.. saw a few people at the front paddling real hard and the back person was slacking and resting.. thank God i dun have such partner.. samm partnered with vincent.. ahahas.. we had fun.. and we even decided to capsize together.. but we didn’t have the chance to.. and samm said vincent was eating digestive biscuits all the way back.. ahahas.. so funny.. think i enjoyed most during sea ex.. though it was really tiring.. we reached the jetty two hours earlier.. and our reward is the JETTY JUMP!! it was so damn fun.. hees.. we all enjoyed ourselves.. hees.. once again we pitch our tents and had dinner.. that night during dinner, we cooked milo.. everybody gotta drink from the pot.. and amirah was first.. the pot of milo was hot.. ahahas.. it was still smoking when amirah wanted to drink.. amirah drank and her specs were covered with vapors.. and said that the milo was steaming.. and then the guys went crazy about the word “steaming”.. and they went steaming steaming steaming.. it was damn sick.. after dinner, we went to pack out stuff back to our bags!! hees.. had our circles again and went to sleep.. hees..
fifth day!!
last day liao.. we got to wash and pack the items back into the stores.. we lost lots of water bottle and luckily some kind souls kind of donated some to us.. cool.. hees. we lost a total of items that costs us 12 bucks.. so we paid ard 80 cents each. jodi’s group lost items that cost up to 200 bucks.. and they paid 15 bucks each.. that’s alot hor?? so poor thing.. after settling the stores, we went to get our obs souvenirs and had our very last circle.. everyone was so sadd.. really cant bear to leave each other.. it felt like we have spent a year together.. some of us even cried.. then we waited for our boats to reach ubin.. whitley took a photo together.. pity that i dun have a cam.. if not i would be able to take photos with my camp mates already!! boo.. i miss them lots!!
